Her research has focused on how literary translation may act as a vehicle for influence and innovation between cultures. She has taught translation to undergraduates at Oxford and Cambridge universities, and Italian to A-level students. Previous translations include Le talisman de la Villette (Strangled in Paris) by Claude Izner, for Gallic Books.
