Synopsis

Una innovacion notable del teatro de Buero Vallejo es la sintesis de dos tendencias teoricamente opuestas: la identificacion aristotelica y el distanciamiento brechtiano. Este libro analiza la fusion simbiotica de estos acercamientos en cuatro obras (El sueno de la razon, Llegada de los dioses, La Fundacion y La detonacion) cuyo recurso dominante es la inmersion del publico en el punto de vista del protagonista hasta tal extemo que experimenta su sordera, ceguera o trauma psicologico, mientras que al mismo tiempo la teatralidad del recurso crea una distancia intelectual. La sintesis de identificacion emotiva y distancia reflexiva sirve para comprometer al espectador en el mensaje politico de la obra.
