Synopsis

This play takes the form of a series of encounters, all overshadowed by the violence of war. In 1944, two young men meet in a Kent meadow; in 1982, a mother learns of her son's fate in the Falklands; and in 1986, a German woman takes in a fugitive British private and his step-son.
