Synopsis

Este estudio llena el vacio que existia en relacion con el teatro de la Revolucion Mexicana. Analiza la representacion del movimiento revolucionario en el discurso teatral y la ideologia que ofrece cada texto. Toma en consideracion no solo a los autores reconocidos, sino tambien a los marginados por el discurso critico. Abarca los anos de la lucha armada, asi como un periodo pre-revolucionario y otro post-revolucionario. Toma en consideracion los discursos teatrales marginales y no solo los de las clases privilegiadas. El analisis de los emisores va integrado con el del destinatario potencial de los textos y el del discurso critico. Muestra la diferencia especifica entre el texto mexicano en relacion con el modelo estilistico cuando el autor lo toma de Espana, Francia u otros paises. Siempre de acuerdo con la ideologia, clase social, raza, o grupo que representan los autores, en las diferentes etapas del cambio social.

The Author: Marcela Del-Rio es profesora en la Universidad de la Florida Central (Orlando). Nacio en Mexico. Recibio su Licenciatura en Lengua y Literaturas Hispanicas en la Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico y su Doctorado en Filosofia en la Universidad de la California, Irvine (EE.UU). Cultiva todos los generos literarios. Ha publicado trece obras de teatro, la mayoria, representadas en diferentes paises y ciudades (mas de 400 representaciones). Tiene publicadas dos novelas (Aguilar y Mortiz), tres poemarios (uno aparecido en Paris en edicion bilinguee) y un libro de cuentos. Sus ensayos se han publicado en revistas literarias de Argentina, Belgica, Colombia, Estados Unidos, Mexico, etc. Ha ganado varios premios, dos de teatro: Premio Nacional Juan Ruiz de Alarcon (Mexico) y Cesar (Los Angeles, EE.UU.). Uno en cuento: Premio Leon Felipe y dos en poesia: Premio Olimpico (Olimpiadas Culturales en Mexico) y Letras de Oro (Spain/92 y University of Miami) este ultimo en EE.UU. en 1992.
