Synopsis

In this jaw-dropping collection of more than 500 recipes, Mediterranean-food expert Clifford A. Wright presents the appetisers, snacks, street foods, and little foods traditional across the Mediterranean. These are the delectable titbits found in Spanish tapas bars and Italian and French cafes, in Tunislan and open markets, on Greek and Turkish meze tables, and more. Little foods are integral to the Mediterranean way of eating, and they are as versatile as they are delicious. They are much more than tantalising appetisers -- throughout the region they are served as snacks anytime, or combined to make a whole meal of little dishes perfect for parties or sit-down dinners of any size. They are all here: the well-known and exotic, the curious and delicious. Recipes include Spicy Fried Mussels, Gorgonzola Fritters, Eqyptian Chickpeas with Lime Juice, Bacon-Wrapped Dates, Spicy Grilled Eggplant Sandwiches, Algerian Lamb Turnovers, Fried Stuffed Olives, and Puff Pastry with Sesame and Feta. With this book as your expert companion you can bring all the warm and welcoming flavours of this sun-drenched corner of the world right into your own kitchen.
