Die Autorin: Tamara Felden ist Assistant Professor im Deutsch Department am Augustana College in Illinois. Sie wuchs in Deutschland auf und absolvierte dort ihre Gymnasialausbildung. Ihren B.A., ihren M.A. und ihren Ph.D. erwarb sie an der University of Maryland. Seit 1986 ist sie amerikanische Staatsbuergerin. Sie ist Verfasserin von Artikeln und Vortraegen zu Autorinnen des 19. und 20. Jahrhunderts, Reiseliteratur und Paedagogik.
