Synopsis

This report is a survey of the strengths, dispositions, organizations, procurement histories and procurement plans of over 150 air forces and their companion services - naval and army aviation, police and coast guard. Part One - "Report by country", includes: an introduction - an operation and command structure, organization and the type, role and location of individual squadrons, together with the type of aircraft operated; main bases, listed by name and location; procurement history - numbers of aircraft delivered detailed by type and date; procurement planning - present and future planning, including existing orders yet to be fulfilled; current inventory - aircraft types in service, their primary roles and quantities, the service to which they are allocated and their current status (for example, in service, on order, in storage); and each country report is covered by a "Confidence FACTOR", enabling the user to receive a consistent assessment of the quality of the available information.

Part Two - "Report by aircraft manufacturer" - is a detailed list for each aircraft manufacturer of the type and number of aircraft supplied to each country, to which service and the current status (for example, operation or on order) is given.
