Synopsis

"Den nya hogern" ar den forsta svenska oversattningen av Michael O'Mearas klassiska studie av de identitara rorelser som sedan decennier omformat konturerna i europeisk politik. Har moter vi Alain de Benoists GRECE (Groupement de Recherche et d'Etude pour la Civilisation Europeenne), som av Paul Piccone i Telos kallats den intressantaste intellektuella sammanslutning som funnits pa kontinenten sedan femtiotalets existentialister. Gruppen utgor idag den ledande skolbildningen inom samtida hogertankande. GRECE bildades av veteraner fran nationalistiska, hogerradikala, traditionalistiska och regionalistiska rorelser, och borjade sin bana som en mindre sammanslutning franska intellektuella, med malet att starka den europeiska kulturens sonderfallande grundvalar. Pa grund av den hoga kvalitet som utmarkte dess publikationer, och dess filosofiskt overtygande omformulering av hogerns projekt, drog tankesmedjan omedelbart till sig anhangare. Redan pa det sena 70-talet hade GRECE rekryterat en imponerande uppsattning kontinentala tankare till sin verksamhet.I

Italien, Tyskland, Belgien och ett antal andra europeiska lander, har det sedan dess uppstatt organisationer och forlag som antingen varit direkt kopplade till GRECE i Paris, eller varit engagerade i liknande projekt. Som en foljd av denna utveckling, har ideer paverkade av GRECE borjat spela en allt storre roll i formuleringen av alternativ till den radande ideologiska ordningen i Europa. Den europeiska nya hoger som GRECE skapat ar dock inte nyskapande i modern mening, utan i traditionalistisk. Man vill forverkliga de mojligheter som fortfarande ligger latent i den europeiska kulturen. Ett sadant projekt ar idag mer angelaget an nagonsin, eftersom ett halvt arhundrade under liberaldemokratiska, amerikanska lydregimer har gjort att Europas manniskor nu hotas av utplaning som distinkta folk och kulturer. I direkt opposition mot de europeiska eliternas svek, vander sig den nya hogern till det ursprungliga hos den europeiska manniskan, i hopp om att vacka en vilja till motstand och kreativitet. Resultatet, som dokumenteras i denna bok, ar kanske den mest forodande kritik av det liberala projektet som formulerats."
