Synopsis

Ladies and Gents is a trouser-wetting collection of the most creative, hilarious and bizarre toilet door signs from around the world. Showcasing over 50 countries' own unique (and peculiar) toilet humour, Ladies and Gents is, unashamedly, the best loo book you'll ever buy. Literally. Devised and compiled by David Shanks, a successful creative director for a London-based advertising agency, who while travelling the world became amused and bemused (and addicted!) to finding and photographing the funniest loo doors he could. He was also suprised by the lengths some pubs and restaurants will go to differentiate and personalise their loo doors. Long gone are the days of 'Male' and 'Female', it seems. And good riddance! David has collected a wealth of the world's most creative loo signs. It's not something he's particularly proud of, but it's a living. Word count: 5,000
