Thomas Vormbaum, Jahrgang 1943, studierte Rechtswissenschaft, Geschichtswissenschaft und Politikwissenschaft an den Universitaten Munster und Wurzburg. 1975 Promotion zum Dr. jur. (bei Rudolf Gmur); 1979 Promotion zum Dr. phil. (bei Heinz Dollinger); 1985 Habilitation fur die Facher Strafrecht, Strafprozessrecht und neuere Rechtsgeschichte (bei Jurgen Welp). Seit 1994 ist er Inhaber des Lehrstuhls fur Strafrecht, Strafprozessrecht und juristische Zeitgeschichte und Geschaftsfuhrender Direktor des Instituts fur juristische Zeitgeschichte an der FernUniversitat in Hagen."
