Zunachst gibt die Einfuhrung einen Uberblick uber die Entstehungsgeschichte und die wichtigsten Inhalte des Vertrags. Die Synopse des Anhangs I stellt im Volltext jedem Artikel der Vertrage in der bisherigen Fassung (EUV/EGV) und der Fassung des Vertrags von Lissabon (EUV/AEUV) die Parallelvorschrift des ursprunglich vorgesehenen Verfassungsvertrags (VVE) gegenuber. Die als Anhang II beigefugten Ubereinstimmungstabellen erleichtern das Wiederauffinden einzelner Bestimmungen und zeigen zu jedem Artikel der Vertrage in der bisherigen Fassung (EUV/EGV) die entsprechenden Artikel der Vertrage in der Fassung des Vertrags von Lissabon (EUV/AEUV) sowie des ursprunglich vorgesehenen Verfassungsvertrags (VVE). Den Anhang III bildet eine Ubersicht, die aufgeschlusselt nach Art der Beteiligung des Europaischen Parlaments die bisherigen und/oder die kunftig vorgesehenen Handlungsmoglichkeiten der Union zeigt.
