L'auteur: Jill Anderson est maitre de conferences dans le departement de francais et d'italien de l'Universite de Melbourne. Elle a obtenu son doctorat a l'Universite Monash suite a des etudes a l'Universite de Provence. Elle a edite Australian Divagations. Mallarme and the 20th Century et publie sur la poesie symboliste et les femmes ecrivains. Ses traductions figurent dans Mallarme in Prose edite par Mary Ann Caws. Elle fait partie du comite de redaction des Cahiers Stephane Mallarme.
