Synopsis

This is Volume two of a four-volume dictionary which covers wide subject areas which are independent of each other. The contents of this volume are: motion - coordinates, position, position determination, time, heat, flow, mechanics, orbits; space flight - launch, guidance, flight, power supply, tracting, attitude, descent; and data - observation, measurement, remote sensing, data processing, mathematics, geometry, statistics and publication. The dictionary consists of two main parts. In the first part, the terms are listed in all six languages under 23 subject sections. The second part of the dictionary is an alphabetical index for each language, providing a quick reference to the position of any term in the first part. The terms have been derived from journals, monographs, textbooks and lectures. Some new terms have been proposed by competent specialists.
