Synopsis

This is the forty-eighth volume of The Canadian Yearbook of

International Law, the first volume of which was published in

1963.The contents of The Yearbook reflect the diversity

of Canadian and international thought, opinion, and practice on current

problems of international law. Included this year are cutting-edge

international criminal law; interaction of the economic and

environmental dimensions of the principle of sustainable development;

parliamentary declarations and Canadian treaty actions); a digest of
