Zuvor war er Mitarbeiter der Siemens AG in den Bereichen Business Development und Innovationsmanagement.Leo A. Nefiodow ist einer der bekanntesten Vertreter der Theorie der langen Wellen und gilt als einer der angesehensten Vordenker der Informationsgesellschaft. 2004 war er Mitglied der Arbeitsgruppe "Our Future Economy" des Club of Rome.
