Not only do nurse managers, physicians, and other caregivers provide care to their patients, they must also understand financial management and budgeting. The second edition of this popular reference makes financial management and budgeting understandable for healthcare workers. Explaining the concepts of healthcare financial management instead of pure mathematical models, the book details each element of the financial statement, including its purpose and impact on the financial health of an organization. It examines budgeting and forecasting practices and includes spreadsheet templates and exercises to help readers work through the text.
