Lessing's plays are examined in an analysis based solely upon the complex psychology of C.G. Jung and his school. All completed dramas of the poet are viewed here for the first time as the individuation course of a single protagonist. The model of complex psychology serves to clarify the self-attenuation of this protagonist and, therewith, that of the poet as well.
