The Author: Maria-Rosario Castro obtuvo la licenciatura en Filologia Hispanica en la Universidad de Alicante (Espana) en 1981 y el doctorado en la Universidad de Cincinnati, Ohio (Estados Unidos) en 1985. En esta ultima le fueron concedidos entre otros honores, una beca de estudios graduados del Departamento de Lenguas y Literaturas Romanicas, y otra de la Fundacion Taft.Ha sido profesora de Lengua y Literatura espanola en varias universidades de los Estados Unidos y actualmente reside y ensena en Massachusetts. Su principal area de estudio es la literatura peninsular y particularmente el siglo XX.
