Synopsis

More than ever before, people of different faith traditions are recognizing their common ground and common mission goals. They are beginning to recognize each other faith as fellow people of faith. '"People of Faith" provides a handy resource to help foster this very sense of kinship between Christians and other faith traditions. For each Gospel reading of the three-year common lectionary cycle, this book provides a sister' reading from the scriptures of a non-Christian religion. Each selection is thematically related to the Gospel reading assigned for the day.

John R. Mabry for the past fifteen years, has served as associate pastor, and later pastor, of Grace North Church (Congregational) in Berkeley, CA. A trained spiritual director, he currently teaches spiritual direction, interfaith theology, and world religions at the Chaplaincy Institute for Arts and Interfaith Ministry in Berkeley, CA.
