Robert Stinerock is Professor of Statistics at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, in Lisbon, Portugal. He has been a university professor for over 30 years, teaching at different universities, most recently the Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey, where he was Distinguished Service Professor. In the course of his university career, he has taught well over 100 classes on quantitative methods, particularly statistics. He was awarded the Stevens Alumni Association Teacher Award, 2005; the Howe School Outstanding Undergraduate Teacher Award, 2006; and the Fairleigh Dickinson University Distinguished Faculty Award for Teaching, 1995. He has also published in numerous academic journals. He is a native of New York City, and earned Bachelors, Masters, and Ph.D. degrees, all from Columbia University.
