Jeffrey Gray is Associate Professor of English at Seton Hall University and author of Mastery's End: Travel and Postwar American Poetry. His articles and poetry have appeared in such journals as Atlantic Monthly, Callaloo, Contemporary Literature, Profession, and Papers on Language and Literature.James McCorkle is a poet and essayist. His previous books include The Still Performance (1989), Conversant Essays (1990), Evidences (2003). His work has appeared in such places as The Kenyon Review, The New England Review, and Ploughshares. He has taught at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Keuka College, New York University, and Pratt Institute.Mary McAleer Balkun is Associate Professor of English at Seton Hall University. She has published in such journals as Walt Whitman Quarterly, Women's Studies, and African American Review, and is the author of the forthcoming The American Counterfeit: Authenticity and Identity in American Literature and Culture.
