Synopsis

Par la priere dite devant les saints presents en reliques ou en statues miraculeuses, les Corps des hommes sont lies aux Corps des saints et l'acces des ames au ciel a l'heure de la mort est anticipe. L'impression en feuillets de ces textes exprime une pensee du salut et de la representation du divin au temps de la Contre Reforme. Le livre a une perspective historique, anthropologique et structurale.

L'auteur: Dominique de Courcelles est chargee de conferences a l'Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales de Paris (France) et membre du Centre de Recherche sur l'Espagne des XVIe et XVIIe siecles de Paris III - Sorbonne Nouvelle. Nee a Paris, elle est diplomee de l'Ecole Nationale des Chartes et ancien membre de la Casa de Velazquez (Madrid). Elle a soutenu son Doctorat d'Etat es lettres et sciences humaines a l'EHESS et sa maitrise en theologie catholique a l'Institut Catholique de Paris. Elle a enseigne a Duke University (U.S.A.). Outre de nombreux articles dans des revues scientifiques, elle a consacre deux livres a l'histoire culturelle catalane et un a R. Lulle; elle s'interesse a l'emergence d'un sujet feminin de l'ecriture.
