PD Dr. Tilo Arens und PD Dr. Frank Hettlich sind beide als Dozenten an der Fakult�t f�r Mathematik des Karlsruher Instituts f�r Technologie t�tig. F�r den Vorlesungszyklus H�here Mathematik f�r Studierende des Maschinenbaus und des Chemieingenieurwesens erhielten sie 2004 gemeinsam mit anderen Mitgliedern ihres Instituts den Landeslehrpreis des Landes Baden-W�rttemberg. PD Dr. Christian Karpfinger lehrt an der Technischen Universit�t M�nchen; 2004 erhielt er den Landeslehrpreis des Freistaates Bayern. Dr. Ulrich Kockelkorn war bis zu seiner Pensionierung 2006 Professor f�r Statistik und Wirtschaftsmathematik an der TU-Berlin und langj�hriger Vorsitzender des Ausbildungsausschusses der Deutschen Statistischen Gesellschaft. Dr. Klaus Lichtenegger studierte in Graz Physik und Umweltsystemwissenschaften, er war mehrere Jahre lang als Tutor und Studienassistent in der Mathematik-Lehre t�tig, insbesondere im Bereich Analysis. Dr. Dr. h.c. Hellmuth Stachel ist seit mehr als 25 Jahren Professor f�r Geometrie an der Technischen Universit�t Wien und in Forschung und Lehre um Anwendungsn�he bem�ht.
