Synopsis

Die Kristallelektronik entstand vor nunmehr zwei Menschenaltern aus dem "Detektor" der Funkentelegraphie. Doch fiel sie mit dem Auftreten der Vakuum-Elektronenrohre in einen Dornroschenschlaf, aus dem sie erst durch die Erfindung des Transistors wieder erweckt wurde. In den seither vergangenen, nahezu zwei Jahrzehnten hat sich dieses neue Bau element einen wichtigen Platz in fast allen Zweigen der Elektrotechnik erobert. Aus der Notwendigkeit, die Kenntnisse der Transistoreigen schaften einem standig wachsenden Kreis von Technikern aller Grade zuganglich zu machen, entstand rasch eine uberaus reiche Literatur uber die Physik des festen Korpers und deren Anwendung auf elektrische Halb leiter.
