Claus Wrana, geb. 1963 in Ulm, leitet seit 2008 den Bereich Polymer-Testing der Lanxess Deutschland GmbH. Er studierte Physik an der Universitat Ulm und promovierte am Institut fur dynamische Materialanalyse (IdM) in Ulm uber die dynamisch-mechanischen Eigenschaften von gefullten Elastomersystemen. Neben seiner Tatigkeit als Leiter des Polymer Testing halt er seit 2000 Vorlesungen an der Universitat Hannover und seit 2008 an der Qingdao University of Science and Technology. An beiden Instituten ist er seit 2012 Inhaber einer Honorarprofessur. Sein derzeitiges Hauptinteresse gilt der Optimierung der dynamischen Eigenschaften von Elastomerbauteilen durch gezielte Beeinflussung von Polymer Fullstoff- und Fullstoff Fullstoff-Wechselwirkungen.
