Synopsis

This is a completely irresistible collection of gorgeous knitted clothes and accessories for toddlers. These patterns will give great delight both to the knitter and to all who see the results on their children. There are traditional sweaters and cardigans as well as more funky patterns for hooded tops and funky hats. Although most of the projects are suitable for beginners there are some that use more complex techniques and include motifs in bright colours to appeal to any fashion-conscious toddler. Created with children from 18 months to 4 years old in mind, these will make fabulous gifts for favourite little loved ones.

Val Pierce's passion for knitting began when her father taught her to knit at the age of five. Later in life she began home knitting for yarn manufacturers, and since then she has made a huge range of items, from evening dresses to teddy bears. She later began designing items of her own, and before long Val's designs were appearing regularly in national knitting and crochet magazines. She also teaches knitting, as well as a range of other needlecrafts, to both adults and children. Val lives and works in Shropshire. www.crossedneedles.co.uk
