Lowborn: Kerry Hudson in conversation

Tuesday 14th May 2019 7pm - 8pm 107 Charing Cross Road Literary Event, Signing, Chargeable Event

Hear journalist and author Kerry Hudson share the personal stories that have contributed to her fascinating new memoir Lowborn: Growing Up, Getting Away and Returning to Britain’s Poorest Towns.

Revisiting the towns she grew up in, Hudson will give personal insight into life on the breadline and the psychological landscape of Britain's poorest communities. She will discuss whether attitudes towards the working class have changed since her childhood, and examine the barriers that remain to be broken down.

Hudson will joined by journalist, editor and author of novels including The Woman Who Ran, Sam Baker.

There will be a Beauty Banks collection point present on the evening of the event, click here to find out more about their work—please feel free to bring any contributions you may have.
