We're delighted to be working with Africa Writes Bristol to bring you an evening with Kenyan writer Billy Kahora.
Billy Kahora's upcoming collection of short stories, The Cape Cod Bicycle War, explores the tensions and transitions of lives in-between youthful folly and precarious adulthood. He'll be celebrating and reflecting upon the writing of these stories with Ellah Wakatama Allfrey.
Billy's writing has appeared in such publications as Chimurenga, McSweeney's, Granta Online, Internazionale and Vanity Fair. He is a lecturer of Creative Writing at Bristol University and is pursuing a PhD in the subject at University of Manchester.
Ellah Wakatama Allfrey, OBE, is the publishing director of the Indigo Press. She has served as a judge for numerous prizes, including the Man Booker, and is currently Chair of the Caine Prize for African Writing.
