Spend an evening with multi-award photographer Paul Graham as he returns to Foyles to introduce his new collection Mother.
Graham will reflect on the quietly powerful images of his new collection—which presents various portraits of his own mother sitting in her English retirement home—exploring the relationship between photography and human mortality, the ageing process, and the inevitable role reversal between parent and child in later life. He will also draw on art history’s enduring fascination with the image of the artist’s mother to frame this most personal yet universally resonant collection.
This event will be chaired by Yasufumi Nakamori, Senior Curator of International Art (Photography) at the Tate Modern and will be followed by a Q&A and a book signing.
Tickets: £44 including a copy of Mother (RRP £40) / £8 standard / £5 Student or Foyalty member*. When purchasing a Student or Foyalty ticket, you'll need to bring a valid in-date Student card or Foyalty card with you.
Venue: Level 6, Foyles 107 Charing Cross Road
