To celebrate the 2015 Sunday Times EFG Short Story Award, the world's richest and most prestigious prize for a single short story, Foyles, Charing Cross Road is once again hosting two very special readings of the stories, on Wednesday 22nd April and Thursday 23rd April, courtesy of short story performance specialists WordTheatre.
A remarkable mix of award-winning international novelists and unknown writers feature on this year's shortlist: Chinese American writer Yiyun Li; American writers Elizabeth McCracken and Scott O'Connor; Canadian author Madeleine Thien; Paula Morris from New Zealand; and Welsh newcomer Rebecca F John.
The actors reading the stories include Simon Callow, Eleanor Bron (Women in Love, Iris and Two for the Road), MyAnna Buring and Lesley Nicol (Downton Abbey), Gary Dourdan (CSI) and Jing Lusi (Holby City, Jack Ryan).
