Gollanczfest 2019 - All-Day Writer's Ticket

Saturday 19th October 2019 10:30am - 4:30pm The Phoenix Artist’s Club, The Phoenix Artist’s Club,, 1 Phoenix Street, London, WC2H 8BU Literary Event, Signing, Chargeable Event

We’re delighted to team up with Gollancz Publishing for Gollanczfest 2019—the UK’s premiere sci-fi, fantasy and horror book festival.

Get yourself along to our Charing Cross Rd flagship and the Phoenix Artist's Club just across the street for a day of panels, workshops and signings. Hear your favourite authors debate everything, from travelling at faster-than-light speed to who wrote the best magic system; receive expert advice on your writing project from leading voices in the business, and meet all the writers themselves as they sign your favourite books.

As in previous years, Gollanczfest will be running two separate strands. The Reader’s ticket will grant you access to the panels and speaker events in the auditorium at Foyles, whilst the Writer’s Ticket opens the doors to the Phoenix Artist's Club to those wanting to improve their craft and receive an insight into the publishing process.

Take a look at the full schedule for the Writer’s event at the Phoenix Artist's Club below:

Authors appearing include: Garth Nix, Joe Abercrombie, Dhonielle Clayton, Joanne Harris, Ben Aaronovitch, Adam Roberts, Tom Lloyd, Laura Lam, Justina Robson, Ed McDonald, Elizabeth May, Paul McAuley, Edward Cox, Tom Toner, Mike Shackle, Tricia Sullivan, Catriona Ward, Gavin Smith, Vic James, Miles Cameron, Alexander Dan Vilhjálmsson, Aliette de Bodard, Rob Grant, Andrew Marshall, Pat Cadigan, Emma Newman, Ian McDonald & Simon Morden

10:30am – 4:30pm:

The day will consist of four panels from a host of leading authors and publishing industry professionals, including two sessions of Gollanczfest’s popular hour-long ‘speed-advice’ where participants have the opportunity to discuss their writing with our guest authors in small groups. There will be comfort breaks and a lunch break.

As the time for signing at the Phoenix is limited we encourage everyone to cross over to Foyles and join the signings there.

Please note that these sessions don’t run quite in sync with the Reader’s events taking place in the Auditorium at Foyles.

Tickets: £60 All-Day Gollanczfest Writer’s Ticket.

Venue: The Phoenix Artist's Club, 1 Phoenix Street, London, WC2H 8BU
