Developments in Structural Engineering: Conference Proceedings

The Forth Rail Bridge was opened in 1890. It took seven years to build and has been described as the greatest monument to engineering and industrial skills of its era. The Centenary Conference considers the design and construction of the bridge and then presents reviews of recent developments in all aspects of structural engineering.
