Backlisted LIVE: Endless Night with Andrew Male and Caroline Crampton

The much-loved Backlisted podcast returns to Foyles Charing Cross Road for the third instalment in a very special live series of the show. John and Andy are joined this July by guest speakers Andrew Male and Caroline Crampton for a look back on Agatha Christie’s masterful Endless Night.

Backlisted is the award-winning literary podcast presented by John Mitchinson and Andy Miller. Each episode features a guest, usually a writer, who has chosen a book they love and which they think deserves a wider audience.

Caroline Crampton is a writer and a podcaster. She has published two books, The Way to the Sea (2019) and A Body Made of Glass (2024). She is the creator and host of the award-winning detective fiction podcast Shedunnit. Caroline also curates articles as editor-in-chief of The Browser, and she writes reviews and essays for publications including Time, Literary Hub and the Guardian.

Andrew Male is the senior associate editor of Mojo magazine. He also writes about film, radio and TV for Sight and Sound and Sunday Times Culture, among others.

The live event will begin at 6.30pm with Andy, John and their guests hosting their discussion of Christie’s Endless Night which will be recorded for future broadcast. Following a short break, there will be a recording of a bonus episode of Locklisted, the podcast available exclusively to supporters of the show’s Patreon, which will give the audience the chance to ask the panel questions about Endless Night, Agatha Christie or the Backlisted podcast!

Doors will open at 6pm and the recording will begin promptly at 6:30pm.
