Backlisted LIVE: The Parable of the Sower with Una McCormack and Salena Godden
Backlisted LIVE is back! We’re delighted to announce the return of the award-winning podcast to Foyles for a second series of live recordings this autumn.
In this episode, John and Andy talk to the screenwriter and academic Una McCormack and poet Salena Godden about Octavia Butler’s strikingly prescient novel, The Parable of the Sower.
Backlisted is the award-winning literary podcast presented by John Mitchinson and Andy Miller. Each episode features a guest, usually a writer, who has chosen a book they love and which they think deserves a wider audience.
The live event will begin at 6.30pm with the discussion of Butler’s The Parable of the Sower which will be recorded for future broadcast. Following a short break, there will be a recording of a bonus episode of Locklisted, the podcast available exclusively to supporters of the show’s Patreon – which will give the audience the chance to ask the panellists questions about this month’s book, Octavia Butler or the Backlisted podcast!
Doors will open at 6pm and the recording will begin promptly at 6:30pm.
