Dave Gorman returns to TV screens with Genius
10th February 2010
America Unchained author Dave Gorman will return to BBC Two later this year with a second series of Genius, which calls on aspiring inventors to pitch their ideas for making the world a better place.
Celebrity guests will join Gorman through the six-part series to help him examine the merits of the ideas and decide which people deserve to hold the rank of 'genius'.
Gorman commented: 'I'm obviously delighted that Genius is coming back for more. In times like this we should remember that ideas - clever ideas, hare-brained schemes and the downright daft - are perhaps this country's greatest natural resource.'
The first run of Genius included a range of bizarre suggestions, such as how to teach maths through dance, making the Isle of Wight symmetrical and marketing a fizzy drink made from onion juice.
Genius originally ran for three series on BBC Radio 4 and featured guests such as Paul Daniels, Germaine Greer, Richard Madeley, Armando Iannucci and Carol Vorderman.
