Join us for an all-star fright night with authors Mark Haddon, Andrew Michael Hurley, Kate Clanchy, Kamila Shamsie, Max Porter and Stuart Evers as we celebrate the release of the haunting new English Heritage collection, Eight Ghosts.

Written in the depths of winter and inspired by eight fascinating English Heritage sites; Eight Ghosts is a teeth-chattering set of tales from some of the best names in contemporary fiction. Eight authors scattered across England in search of haunting stories - from Kamila Shamsie at the ruins of Kenilworth Castle, to Mark Haddon deep in York’s Cold War Bunker. The result is an anthology rich in atmosphere, steeped in the supernatural and interwoven with the unique history of each location,

The event will be hosted by author and veteran broadcaster Mark Lawson as each writer discusses the inspiration behind their story, their influences and the experience of taking part in this ingenious literary project.


Tickets: £8 per ticket or £15 including a copy of the book.
