Tender Buttons with John Butcher

Monday 27th November 2017 6pm - 7:30pm 107 Charing Cross Road Ray's Jazz Event, Music Event, Chargeable Event

The sound of Tender Buttons occupies a post-New York School sound-space, very much in the spirit of Cage, Feldman, and Wolff. Their music is both composed and improvised, often performed with video projection.

The group consists of Tania Chen on piano, electronics and toys, Gino Robair on modular electronics and Tom Djll on modular and circuit-bent electronics. For this special performance they will be joined by improvisational/experimental saxophonist John Butcher.

"...without question the most jaw dropping technician we've ever heard wielding a tenor" - Time Out New York

Join us for what will undoubtedly be a boundary-pushing musical meeting between four leading figures in contemporary improvisation.

Venue: The Auditorium at Foyles, Level 6, 107 Charing Cross Road
