No Time Like The Present: David Runciman and Sam Wilkin in conversation

Thursday 14th June 2018 7pm - 8pm 107 Charing Cross Road Literary Event, Signing, Chargeable Event

To what extent can examining the past inform us about our future?

With the advent of modern technology and its impact on our world, the present seems to be in constant flux. Truth has given way to misinformation and populism has spread like wildfire - but can looking back across history help us to find a greater pattern in the events around us?

Join David Runciman, Professor of Politics at Cambridge University and author of How Democracy Ends, and Sam Wilkin, senior risk advisor to Oxford Economics and author of History Repeating, as they discuss the extent to which we can use lessons of the past as a means to discern our future.
