A History of the World in 21 Women: Jenni Murray in conversation
Much-loved host of BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour Dame Jenni Murray celebrates the lives, struggles and achievements of the 21 pioneering women behind her new book A History of the World in 21 Women.
Rescuing some names from obscurity and shining new light on some familiar heroes, A History of the World in 21 Women is a re-examination of history in light of the artists, politicians and activists that have helped to shape our world.
From Frida Kahlo to Empress Cixi, from Hatshepsut to Madonna, come and hear Murray on female role models through the ages and the spirit of defiance that characterise them. The talk will be chaired by bestselling author of Running Like a Girl and Leap In, co-author or Judy Murray’s Knowing The Score and new books editor of Grazia magazine Alexandra Heminsley and followed by a Q&A and signing.
