Synopsis

Maw Broon has been entertaining us for decades with her no-nonsense approach to life and her family. From the famous family home at lo Glebe Street, Auchenshoogle, Maw Broon has become a national treasure. Now, in her brand new autobiography, Maw Broon shares the story of her life for the very first time. There's her childhood and adventures, her real name before she became universally known as 'Maw', her courting days and how she met Paw and, of course, her life as a formidable mother of eight. And Maw Broon shares her hopes and aspirations for each of her brood. Maw also shares stories of life at Glebe Street, the funny and sad moments over the years, what it's like living with all the different generations under the one roof with too little space and how she's had to stretch the money as far as possible to keep her hungry family happy. But most of all, Maw Broon's story is one of happiness and hope as she has faced and conquered the challenges of life with a wise word and a smile no matter what each day might bring.
