Customer Reviews

The competing autobiographies of two upper-class cads with sociopathic tendencies who get into a series of adventures, scrapes and compromising situations had me laughing out loud from start to finish! Without doubt the funniest book I've read in years - perhaps ever. The anti heroes both have dubious morals, are over-privileged and revel in doing everything to excess. Despite this I couldn't help becoming incredibly fond of them as they constantly turn imminent disaster to their advantage. A hilarious and highly entertaining read, it's almost as if Trevelyan and Cornwall have channelled the spirit of Fleming, Wodehouse and Tom Sharpe. I can't wait for the next instalment. Buy it now!

’d heard from a few trusted friends that I might enjoy this, so I ended up giving it a shot – to say I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. I was a huge fan of the Flashman books when I was a teen, and this book certainly has something in common with those, but it’s no pale imitation. I don’t want to go into depth regarding the various twists and turns in the plot, but I will say that parts were surprisingly educational, as well as hilarious and – at times – a bit disgusting. In a good way, of course. I’d recommend this anyone looking for a dose of espionage, hilarity and the fragile nature of the male ego. And, hey, you might learn something too…
