Die speziellen Fertigungstechnologien und Methoden des Produktionsmanagements, die spezifisch fur die Automobilproduktion sind, werden ausfuhrlich dargestellt und erlautert. Themen wie Automotive Lean Production stehen dabei in aktuellem Bezug zur Entwicklung der Branche, deren Produktionsablaufe zu den komplexesten und variantenreichsten gehoeren, die in der Wirtschaft zu finden sind. Dabei entstehen durch verkurzte Modellzyklen, hoechste Anforderungen an die Qualitat sowie eine moeglichst hohe Auslastung der hochtechnisierten Produktionsumgebung grosse Anforderungen an die Fahigkeiten der fur die Produktion verantwortlichen Ingenieure.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jan C. Aurich studierte Maschinenbau an der Universitat Hannover und am Center for Computer-Assisted Engineering der Colorado State University. Danach wurde er wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Institut fur Fertigungstechnik und Werkzeugmaschinen der Universitat Hannover, wo er 1995 promovierte. Fur seine Arbeiten zur Werkstuckmodellierung in Systemen zur rechnerunterstutzten Konstruktion und Arbeitsplanung erhielt er 1996 die Taylor Medaille der International Institution for Production Engineering (CIRP). Von 1995 - 2002 war Prof. Aurich in verschiedenen leitenden Funktionen in Produktion und Entwicklung der Daimler AG tatig. Einer Tatigkeit im Engineering des Werkes Tuscaloosa, USA, folgten Aufgaben als Leiter des Kaizen-Teams im Werk Kassel und in der Nutzfahrzeugentwicklung in Stuttgart. Zuletzt war er Leiter der Antriebstrangkonfiguration in der Entwicklung Mercedes-Benz LKW. Seit 2002 ist Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jan C. Aurich Inhaber des Lehrstuhles fur Fertigungstechnik und Betriebsorganisation (FBK).

A Year of Books Subscription Packages 

Delivery is free for the UK. Western Europe costs £60 for each 12 month subscription package purchased. For the Rest of the World the cost is £100 for each package purchased. All delivery costs are charged in advance at time of purchase. For more information please visit the A Year of Books page.

Returns Information

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase*, you may return it to us in its original condition with in 30 days of receiving your delivery or collection notification email for a refund. Except for damaged items or delivery issues the cost of return postage is borne by the buyer. Your statutory rights are not affected.
