Borders and transit through them are an essential element of the global supply chain. These necessary procedures facilitate trade and the movement of goods internationally. Understanding cross-border logistics is imperative for those studying or working in logistics.

At every port and border international freight operations are exposed to trade and customs procedures. Cross-Border Logistics Operations provides all you need to know about the cross-border trade and customs environment along with its implications for international business supply chains. It is an essential textbook for students on WCO Picard Accredited customs training programmes and it is mapped to the modules.

Cross-Border Logistics Operations brings together the political, administrative, and technological aspects of international trade. This essential text focuses on operations and includes key contributions from WTO, UN's International Trade Centre and the World Bank. The author has also collaborated with Shanghai Customs College, LSE, Technical University Delft, University of Muenster and the University of Nottingham. The text is supported with tables and illustrative examples as well as extracts from relevant regulations and international recommendations.
