Synopsis

Maritime Security and Operations is a primary text most suitable for use in military and coast guard academies, maritime and Homeland Security programs worldwide, port management, and marine law courses. This book identifies best practices policy and procedures based on the author's extensive real-world experience in the field, and includes themes found in acclaimed maritime publication and the latest research and literature. The book fills in the gaps in topic coverage, subjects that other books on the market don't cover, and identifies new industry challenges, presents the latest technologies, and the most recent regulations that impact the industry.

The book is the most current maritime security book in the field covering:

An introduction to maritime modern principles of port and maritime operations, with

subsequent moving on to address more advanced topics

Vital information about maritime operations, including operational vulnerabilities and how to implement security practices and protocols into real-world practice based on a robust operational security methodology.

The author combines academic research experience with over a decade of extensive industry experience in maritime security, audits, and operations management.

This book is addresses the need for a comprehensive text for students and the growing number of courses in the area. It presents an all-encompassing approach in a significant global industry segment that powers the global economy and greatly impacts Homeland Security.
