Synopsis

PRICE WARS chronicles Rupert Russell's two-year investigation into the global forces that made the 2010s the chaotic decade. Travelling to nine countries across five continents, Russell traces a butterfly effect, finding the origins of the Arab Spring and Syrian Civil War, the war in Ukraine, the collapse of Venezuela, and the U.S. border crisis to all come from the same source - commodity prices. It is the chaos in these markets that has created chaos in the real world. And through interviews with Noble prize winning economists, hedge fund managers and whistleblowers, the financial forces behind this new volatility is exposed.
