Salim LAMINE is professor in Remote Sensing (RS) & Precision Agriculture (PA) at the University of Bouira. He received his PhD from the University of Aberystwyth (UK) in cooperation with the University of Sciences and Technology Houari Boumediene (Algeria). He studied the GNSS applications at the University of Nottingham (UK), and he worked as an assistant researcher at the university of Aberystwyth (UK). In 2017, He won the International Prize for the Environment "ECOWORLD" from the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences. Salim's research area includes Remote Sensing, Hyperspectral Imaging, Precision Agriculture, Field Spectroradiometry, Aerial and space mapping, Heavy metal mapping, Soil Geo-chemistry, GIS, GNSS, Validation of soil moisture data and energy fluxes from Earth Observation satellites and SVAT models. He serves as an editorial board member for several highly respected journals. He is author/co-author of +20 peer-reviewed papers published in highly respected journals, +50 international conferences and +3 book chapters. Prashant Kumar Srivastava is working at IESD, Banaras Hindu University as a faculty and is also a visiting scholar with the Hydrological Sciences division at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. He received his doctoral degree from the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Bristol, Bristol, UK. He received several awards such as NASA Fellowship, University of Maryland Fellowship, Commonwealth Fellowship, Early Career Research Award (ECRA, DST, India), CSIR as well as UGC- JRF-NET (2005, 2006). He is leading number of projects funded from reputed agencies in India as well as world. He is also a collaborator with NASA JPL on SMAP soil moisture calibration and validation as well as Scatsat-1, NISAR, AVIRIS-NG missions of India. He has published 130+ peer-reviewed journals and seven books. He is also acting as Associate Editor of Journal of Hydrology, Hydrological Sciences Journal, Remote Sensing (MDPI), Journal of Earth System Science, Environment Development and Sustainability, Environmental Processes, Cogent Environmental Sciences, Co-editor-in-Chief Bulletin of Environmental and Scientific Research and Guest Editor of Physics and Chemistry of the Earth, IJSLUP and JSRS. Ahmed KAYAD is a researcher in DIGITAL AGRICULTURE LAB at the University of Padova, Italy. Recently, he received his PhD from the same university. He obtained a BSc and MSc in Agricultural Engineering from Alexandria University, Egypt and King Saud University, Saudi Arabia respectively. He worked as a researcher at the precision agriculture lab, King Saud University between 2011 and 2018. In 2017, he started his PhD at the University of Padova, Italy aiming to monitor corn yield variability through remote sensing for precision agriculture applications. In 2020, he visited the International Center for Wheat and Maize Improvement (CIMMYT), Mexico for 5 months to investigate the possibility of using aerial hyperspectral images combined with PROSAIL to monitor corn LAI and yield. Ahmed's research area includes Precision Agriculture, Aerial and Satellite Imagery, Vegetation Monitoring, Radiative Transfer Models and Crop Yield Monitoring. Dr Francisco Munoz Arriola is an Associate Professor in Hydroinformatics and Integrated Hydroclimate at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Biosystems Engineering at Universidade do Sao Paulo. He has volunteered at the United States Geological Survey and has been a National Researcher at Mexico's National Council of Science and Technology. He is also a fellow of the Robert B. Daugherty Water for Food Global Institute and the Public Policy Center. He has been a member of the American Meteorological Society's Water Resources Committee for five years. Francisco has worked on the diagnostics and predictability of natural and altered states of biogeochemical cycles and the water continuum from the atmosphere to the aquifer. His research focuses on the predictability of hydrometeorological and climate extremes and their impact on water and agricultural resources, as well as the development of information technologies and models. His collaborative network encompasses more than twenty countries in Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Dr. Prem Chandra Pandey received his PhD degree (2015) from Centre for Landscape and Climate Research (CLCR) Department of Geography, University of Leicester, United Kingdom, under the Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP). He received his BSc degree in Botany (Hons.) from Institute of Sciences, Banaras Hindu University (2005), M.Sc. degree in Environmental Sciences (2007) from Institute of Sciences, BHU and M.Tech in Remote Sensing (2009) from Birla Institute of Technology (BIT) Mesra Ranchi, India. Dr Pandey is currently working as Assistant Professor in Center for Environmental Sciences & Engineering, Shiv Nadar University, Greater Noida, India. He did his Post-Doctoral from Department of Geography and Human Environment, Faculty of Exact Sciences, Tel Aviv University Israel (2016-2017). Dr Pandey has worked as a National Post- Doctoral Fellow with Institute of Environment and Sustainable Development (IESD), Banaras Hindu University (BHU) Varanasi. He worked on remote sensing applications as Professional Research fellow in National Urban Information System (NUIS) funded by National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) Government of India at BIT Mesra Ranchi. Dr. Pandey has been a recipient of several prestigious International and National awards including Commonwealth Fellowship UK, INSPIRE fellowship, Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD) Government of India, University Grant Commission (UGC) fellowships, Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB)-NPDF and IT Merit awards from Government of India. He has authored 30+ research articles published in international peer-reviewed journal articles, Edited 2 Books, 9 book chapters and presented his work in several conferences. Additionally, he is also a member of Indian Society of Geomatics (ISG), Indian Society of Remote Sensing (ISRS), SPIE, and Association of American Geographers (AAG). His research interests include forestry, environmental pollutant modeling, urban studies and agricultural studies. George P. Petropoulos obtained his PhD from King's College London in the United Kingdom. Currently, he is Assistant Professor
of Geoinformatics at the Dept. of Geography, Harokopio University of Athens, Greece. He also holds a Marie Curie Fellowship
with the School of Mineral Resources Engineering of the Technical University of Crete, Greece (2018-2021). His research
focuses on the use of Earth Observation, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), digital cartography, GPS, simulation process
models, ground measurement networks in geographical and environmental applications. His main research interests include
the mapping of the natural and man-made environment and monitoring of their changes over time, the study of biotic and
abiotic hazards and of their spatiotemporal dynamics, the development of geoinformation software tools and use of operational
products and applications of geoinformation.
