Customer Reviews

This series just gets better – and, after the first, I really didn’t think that was possible! Rupert Brett is now working as a Property Manager and a part-time soldier with the TA; it’s getting harder to make deals in the UK with the world wide recession. Then the UK government get in touch yet again to ask for his help; they propose sending him to Buenos Aires to do what he knows best, open a property office only this time it will be his cover for spying for them. With the help of an SAS soldier, Chris Adams, posing as his colleague they are charged with finding out vital information – only, as we know, Brett tends to attract unwanted attention and what seemed like an in and out task turns out to be far more dangerous. The complex, intricate and completely realistic plot in this one must have required a mind-boggling amount of research – and it shows. Entirely believable, I was sucked in from the very start and it was a hair-raising ride. My heart pounded and my pulse raced as the excitement reached fever pitch, but this isn’t just an action thriller, it’s so much deeper than that. A powerful story, this is crafted by a talented author who really knows how to keep his readers focused – and thrilled – from beginning to end. As the story twists and turns, I just HAD to keep reading and find out what happened next which is how I found myself racing through the pages in the early hours of the morning. I can’t wait to read the next one! An absolutely cracking novel and one I cannot recommend highly enough. Easily worth all five glowing stars.
