Customer Reviews

Just finished reading the book. I absolutely loved it ! The best thing about this novel is that you will feel instantly connected to it, thanks to the excellent narration by the writer. I felt as if I was sitting beside him and listening to his story. Not only does the novel give a lot of information about the history of football and the intricate structure of the game, it also provides a good insight into Indian culture. Great job by the writer, will certainly recommend the book to others !

India based writer's debut tale woven around the game of football is a must read not only for the football buffs but also for all the book lovers. Written in free flowing and undemanding language of a true storyteller, the tale compells one to remain glued to the book from start to finish. The story begins in early seventies in sports crazy Indian city Calcutta and takes the reader to England and Wales through Delhi. The reader gets glimpses of Indian culture and food habits, particularly Bengali and Punjabi, as well as those of England. It is full of fun, motivation and thrill. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and recommend all to go through it.
