Synopsis

The addictive and darkly funny thriller Expose. A tale of the media, celebrity, corruption and revenge. Superstar actor Adam Jaymes has a lifetime of grudges against the ruthless reporters of the world's most salacious tabloid, The Daily Ear. Whether it be `kiss-and-tell king' Colin Merroney, gossip columnist Valerie Pierce or veteran paparazzi photographer Jason Spade, Jaymes holds them all responsible for destroying the life of his best friend. Now the gloves are off as the actor turns the tables on the newspaper's star journalists who suddenly find their own private lives splashed across the front pages. After all, reporters have secrets too. Touching on dozens of real-life scandals, EXPOSE is a hilarious page-turner that will keep you guessing who at The Daily Ear is on Adam Jaymes' hit list and what deep, dark secrets is he going to expose. Expose is the thrilling debut novel of ex-reporter Paul Ilett.

Paul Ilett spent more than a decade working as a reporter across a range of different media organisations including newspapers, radio stations and TV news. He continues to write as a freelance journalist with articles published in the likes of The Guardian, Attitude, Press Gazette and Readers' Digest. In the late nineties he worked for the BBC's news website and became one of the corporation's first online journalists. It was there that his interest in online media began, particularly how the rapid growth of social media (such as Twitter and Facebook) eroded the power of the traditional press. A keen advocate of LGBT rights, Paul's writing also focuses on homophobia within the newspaper industry. Despite parodying many in the media, Paul's first novel EXPOSE received fantastic reviews in national publications - including a four-star rating from The Sun. Paul is 48 and lives in England.
