Customer Reviews

I received a free copy of the novel with no strings attached “When Valleys Bloom Again”. As a reader, I rarely read romantic novels, but I found this novel both well written, and with its Christian background most fitting to the time of the Second World War. In Great Britain, especially during its darkest hour the people of this country did in fact fill the churches and embraced the arts as never before. The author grasped the mood British people and they faith that they could win against overwhelming odds especially in the early stages of the war is portrayed beautifully by the family of the principle character Abby. As an Englishman we are all aware the part America played in helping Britain when she stood alone, and it was nice to see in the novel the support and sympathy that many Americans gave to us during these turbulent times. The author Pat Jeanne Davis describes her characters well leaving you wanting to see how each one will develop and change as time goes on. Its characters showed to us the best and the worsted in human nature Her description of the battle scenes again pictures what servicemen and women endured during and after the war. All comments and opinions are my own and I would recommend this novel to any who are interested in the history of the Second World War. If there is a sequel to this novel I certainly would read it.
